Sutton Bank is known as the gateway to the North York Moors but it also provides a wonderful view looking away from the Moors over the Vale of York, This was painted on site during summer on a not so bright day that provided more interest for the artist as light shone through a cloudy sky on the long distant view of the landscape below.
