Pond Light (pastel, mounted)

This is a favourite view of mine, lying within a bird reserve near to my home in Harrogate. But it is not the birds that take centre stage here, rather the pond with reeds extending from it and glowing in the summer light. Painted on site using expressive pastel strokes.
