Jervaulx Abbey, not far from Ripon, was one of the great Cistercian abbeys in Yorkshire. The ruins and the unspoilt fields surrounding them make a perfect subject for the artist and photographer. And after a day's painting, there awaits the reward of a coffee (and possibly cake!) in the nice tearoom situated nearby.
