The Hole of Horcum in the heart of the North York Moors is a place of natural beauty, geological history and also ancient myths. A wonderful place to paint! This work was painted on site in April on what turned out to be a gloriously sunny Spring day. Using watercolour and ArtGraf to create an expressive underpainting before applying soft pastel.
