Gorse Moors (mixed, mounted)

This amazing view of gorse in full golden bloom lies in the North York Moors not far from the coast. With warm springtime sun and a lively sky, this made for a wonderful subject for mixed media, using washes of watercolour as an underpainting before applying soft pastel.
