Geese Over Sparkling Waters (mixed media, mounted)

This view of Grouthwaite Reservoir in the Yorkshire Dales was painted on site on a beautiful summer's day. It took quite a bit of determination to find an appropriate spot to set up my easel, wading through long thick grasses, but it was well worth it as I found myself looking over the water directly towards a bright sun, casting light on the landscape below - perfect!
