The West Cliff at Whitby with the Church of St Mary standing proudly atop, a feature of Bram Stoker's Dracula novel set in part in the Yorkshire fishing town. Painted to capture the atmospheric scene on a late autumnal day, featuring the reds and oranges of the cottage roofs and boat details.
