Cuillin View, Sligachan (mixed, mounted)

The small settlement at Sligachan is one of my favourite locations on the Isle of Skye. It seems to be intentionally made for artist and photographers. This view is just one of many and features a lovely old bridge (not the more famous bridge that married couples get photographed on!) and, of course, the Cuillin mountains behind. Painted using watercolour to create an underpainting on which pastel was then expressively applied.
