Painted on the incredible Ross Back Sands, 3 miles of unspoiled beach between Bamburgh and Holy Island, Northumberland, one sunny day in February. The wind was so strong that I had to hide in a deep sand dune, but it was still difficult to even sit let alone prevent pastels from being blown down the coast!
